Dallara Esports Championship 2025: the future of motorsport takes shape between real and virtual

Varano de’ Melegari, Paris, Indianapolis – May 21st 2025

The Dallara Esports Championship 2025, organized by Dallara – AK Esports – the new joint venture between Dallara and AK Esports based in Indianapolis – is set to redefine the intersection of digital racing and real-world motorsport on Assetto Corsa, the renowned simulation platform form Kunos Similazioni. This international competition connects some of the most iconic motorsport locations in Europe and the United States through a unique, hybrid format blending high-level simulation and on-site activation.

A competitive, balanced, and innovative format
The championship unfolds across three qualification rounds, running from 2nd June to 7th September, featuring hot lap sessions with the Dallara Stradale and Dallara EXP, two iconic models showcasing Dallara’s engineering excellence. The format – combining best lap times with both vehicles – rewards consistency and adaptability, establishing a new benchmark for sim racing championships.

Global qualification venues: from Italy to the USA, France and Online
The qualifying phase will be held both online and on-site at three prestigious locations with dedicated Grand Finals slots from each locations:

The Dallara Academy in Varano de’ Melegari (Italy),
The newly inaugurated The Sim Garage by Dallara – AK Esports at the Dallara Experience Hub in Indianapolis,
And the E-Motion Center in Paris, a newly inaugurated European reference point for sim racing and motorsport innovation, which will not only host part of the qualification phase but also serve as the venue for the Grand Final on October 2nd – a major new highlight in the championship’s format.
In addition to the on-site qualifiers, an online leaderboard will offer a parallel opportunity for those unable to attend the three physical venues. Participants will be able to compete remotely under the same conditions as the on-site sessions. At the end of each round, the best online driver will secure a spot in the final, joining the top performers from the on site competitions.

At the close of the qualification phase, 18 drivers will secure their place on the Grand Final grid: three from the Dallara Academy in Varano, six from Dallara USA in Indianapolis, six from the E-Motion Center in Paris, and three through the online leaderboard — with additional sponsor wildcard entries completing the line-up for the Grand Final in Paris.

These venues represent Dallara’s commitment to international growth and experiential motorsport, providing access to cutting-edge simulators and immersive competitive environments.

Varano de’ Melegari, Italy: The heart of Motor Valley
The championship kicks off in Italy's Motor Valley, at the Dallara Academy, where innovation meets legacy. Participants will race virtually using simulators developed in the same facility where the Dallara Stradale was engineered and built – reinforcing the deep connection between Dallara’s real and virtual racing DNA.

Indianapolis: Sim racing in the capital of speed
For the first time, the championship extends its competitive activities to the United States. The Sim Garage by Dallara – AK Esports, just inaugurated on May 16th 2025 inside the Dallara Experience Hub in Speedway (Indianapolis), will host official on-site sessions throughout the qualifying phase. This new flagship location serves as both a sim racing hub and a bridge between American sim racers and Dallara’s global motorsport network.

Paris: The Grand Final at E-Motion
The Grand Final will take place on October 2nd at the E-Motion Center in Paris, a high-tech venue dedicated to simulation, racing culture, and esports. In addition to hosting part of the on-site qualification sessions, the E-Motion Center will serve as the final stage of the championship, welcoming the top 20 drivers from all over the world. The event promises to be a true motorsport spectacle. The winner will be rewarded with a real-life driving experience in the Dallara Stradale with EXP kit at the Paul Ricard Circuit.

New wildcard regions: Saudi Arabia and the UAE join the grid
To further expand global participation, the 2025 Championship welcomes wildcard entries from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates together with the European participants. These entries will allow talented drivers from the Middle East to compete on the international stage, further reinforcing Dallara’s vision of a truly global sim racing ecosystem.

Technology at the core
All sessions will be held on Assetto Corsa, the leading simulator in terms of physics and realism. Through this platform, each race becomes a genuine test of driver skill, racecraft, and focus, whether on-site or remotely connected.
